My School Experience

“We all have our time machines, some take us back to the past, they’re called memories, and some, take us to the future, they’re called dreams.” - Jeremy Irons

Today I stand at that cusp, where my school memories lay fresh in my mind which I don't want to let go of, but at the same time I have dreams to look forward to achieving in the future.

When it comes to choosing what school to learn at, at a young age, children don’t get much of a say, as this matter is decided by our parents who take all matters into consideration and pick a school for us. But I can say with certainty that if I could go back in time and choose a school for myself, I would not have chosen differently, for Arya Vidya Mandir Juhu has shaped me into my best self and made me the person that I am today.

My school provided me with all sorts of experiences and opportunities to participate in competitions, and enhanced all of my various abilities. This holistic learning and friendly environment accompanied by positive competition truly allowed me to develop as a student and a human being. Not only did AVM give me sound advice and knowledge, but it also embedded human values in me and allowed me to become a humble, confident, down to earth and decent individual.

I’ve spent all my school life at our esteemed school, Arya Vidya mandir, and these have been the best years of my life so far. I can recall everything vividly, from the time our teachers greeted us at the school gates in the morning on our very first day at school, to the time we shut down our computers after the emotional farewell hosted online due to the pandemic.

I have so many memories of our school- our fun yet educational school trips, the various competitions, the filled canteen during our long awaited lunch breaks, the competitive football matches during pt period, the class assemblies, the independence day quizzes, and of course of the playful yet witty crowd of students that I spent this time with.

I will never forget the cheerful roars and thunderous applause of our school crowd during the inter school sports events. I will never forget the kindness shown to me by my fellow peers and teachers whenever I was in need of any sort of help or assistance. I will never forget the school which managed to turn my crying face while entering the school as a toddler to a proud and happy face as I left it.

“School times must ultimately end, but the memory lasts forever.”

In the end, all I can say to this institution which truly gave me everything I have right now, and everyone involved in it is thank you.

I will never forget you.
